What is the Plot of True Detective Season 3

The Trailers of True Detective Season 3 has given an idea about the plot of the series. We can see Detective Wayne Hays, which will be played by Mahershala Ali, who is haunted by a two or three-decade-year-old case. This case was about 2 children who went missing. Hays was not able to solve the case back in the 1980s. This case has affected Hays a lot mentally as we can see him terrified after visiting the crime scene many years later.

Depicting from the trailers, we can agree that the series’ story-line will closely follow the pattern of Season 1 of True Detective rather than Season 2. The Season 1 followed a plot stretched over 17 years.

This case might have a close relationship with the whole scenarios of the True Detective Season 3. The trailers stay a put-away from the actual clues for the season but tease copious theories in the mind of viewers.

The Original Lead Of True Detective Season 3 Was A White Guy

Mahershala Ali recently revealed that the True Detective Season 3 was written in perspective of a White Guy as the Lead Character. Mahershala also told that he convinced the True Detective Season 3 show-runner Nic Pizzolatto to rewrite the series in the narrative of a Black lead character.

Ali said that the series had two characters. The lead cop was White, and the other cop was Black. He said that he could have taken that second lead role. But Ali got convinced that they (Black Cop) existed in the late 60s and 70s after seeing a picture of his grandfather in state police uniform.
